PSU Concession Stand Aid BMS
Timothy Vork

At every Penn State home game, Bellville Mennonite students and parents work at one of the concession stands to raise money for the BMS athletics department at the school. It is really nice to work there because sometimes we get to watch the game when we are not working. The atmosphere there is really cool because everybody has so much energy and cheering for Penn Football and that makes you want to work there.

There are different jobs we need to do to keep the stand running properly. The different jobs that need to be done like the cashier, the soda person, the pretzel person, the nacho person and the person who hawks the programs before and during the game

There are fun things to do in the stand and there are things that are not fun to do. Some of the fun things are the soda and the pretzels. One of the things that are not fun is the hawking. Hawking is when you go out to the crowd and you sell programs and water and food. There are people who are rude to the people who are trying to sell items. Some of the experiences that we had were fun but some were not fun at all. The night games are the worse to go to because you don't get home until like one in the morning and then you can't get to sleep till two in the morning. But when you are there you completely forget that it is a night game because of the atmosphere.

I am glad that I have the opportunity to work there.
