What is Kindergarten Choice?

• Kindergarten Choice is Belleville Mennonite School's response to new demands on today's families.
• Kindergarten Choice offers to both working and non-working parent (s) an effective option for early childhood education in a Christian Learning Community.
• Kindergarten Choice increases Belleville Mennonite's Kindergarten program from 2-3 full days per week to a five-day week for children whose parents choose this option.
• Kindergarten Choice means parents at BMS now have choices in kindergarten services uniquely flexible for their distinctive families - three or five days of stimulating instruction.

How does BMS's Kindergarten Choice Program work?

• Belleville Mennonite School's kindergarten program continues to be a whole day program from 8:00 AM to 3:05 PM.
• Parents have the choice of a 3-day or 5-day kindergarten. All children will attend kindergarten on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Students enrolled in the five-day option will join in enrichment classes on Monday and Wednesday. Enrichment classes will include extended activities that enhance what the child has learned on regular class days.

What is included in the Kindergarten Program at Belleville Mennonite School?

• Whether a parent (s) chooses the 5-day or 3-day program, the kindergarten program offers the same curriculum to all students.
• The instructional program at BMS encompasses strong academics, music, art, physical education, and technology for all students.
• The 5-day option does not introduce more concepts, but expands themes for understanding concepts and provides more time to practice skills taught to all students.
• The education at Belleville Mennonite School is Christ-centered. Children are taught Bible truths daily. Children see and feel Christ's love in their teachers.

How will my child travel to kindergarten at BMS?

• The children travel by bus and the bus company will make those arrangements; however, you are welcome to transport your child to school if you choose.
