Worship Team:

Building a Band

Guitar playing unit – skills to play, strumming, chords, knowing the instrument – all SS play; bass guitar unit – all SS play – skills… technique, etc.; drums – all SS play – trap-set technique… know the parts; set… basic rock beat; entire class creates a worship team; class splits into two or three teams … each member gets a role; team writes own song and works on developing a group sound

Dynamics

ID contrasting dynamics in different style periods; ID and define dynamic symbols (f, p, ff, pp, mf, mp, >, sfz, etc); ID and discuss dynamic’s affect upon mood of music
